Appointments & Consultations
How do I book an appointment?
You can book an appointment by calling our clinic 0203 411 1820, booking online via our website, or visiting us in person.
Do I need a referral from my GP or optician?
A referral is not always necessary. You can book directly for most consultations. However, some specialised treatments may require a referral. Contact us on 0203 411 1820 to find out more.
What should I prepare for ahead of my appointment?
Please bring your prescription glasses or contact lenses (if applicable), a list of medications, your NHS or private health insurance details, and any previous eye test reports.
If you wear contact lenses, we recommend removing the soft contact lenses for 3 days and rigid contact lenses for 14 days. This allows the shape of the cornea to revert to its natural original shape for accurate assessment and measurements.
How long will my appointment take?
Most appointments last between 30-60 minutes, depending on the type of consultation and tests required.
Do you offer same-day or emergency appointments?
Yes, we offer urgent appointments for all eye emergencies, such as sudden vision loss, painful red eyes, or flashes and floaters. Please call us immediately on 0203 411 1820, if you experience any of these symptoms.

Yes, we provide all the necessary and recommended diagnostic tests to ensure a thorough assessment of your eye health. These include:

- Visual Field Testing – to detect glaucoma and neurological conditions
- Corneal Topography – for corneal mapping, contact lens fittings, keratoconus diagnosis and laser refractive assessment
- Retinal Photography – for monitoring diabetic eye disease and macular conditions
Will my pupils be dilated during the eye exam?
For certain tests, we may need to dilate your pupils to help look at the back of your eye, your retina and optic nerves more closely. This can cause temporary blurred vision for a few hours and light sensitivity, so you may need to arrange transport home.
How often should I have an eye test?
For healthy adults, we recommend an eye test annually. If you have a medical condition such as diabetes or glaucoma, more frequent checks may be necessary.
