Types of oculoplastic and aesthetic surgery
Upper eyelid blepharoplasty
Upper eyelid blepharoplasty at SEON Vision removes excess skin that can cause heaviness, irritation and a tired appearance. This procedure not only restores a refreshed look but also enhances eyelid symmetry, improving both comfort and facial aesthetics. Our expert surgeons deliver precise, natural results tailored to each patient’s needs.
Lower eyelid blepharoplasty
Lower eyelid blepharoplasty at SEON Vision targets puffy lower lids or “eye bags” caused by weakened tissue and fat prolapse. Our expert surgeons offer a scar-free, incisionless technique to restore a smoother, more youthful appearance. This advanced approach enhances comfort, improves aesthetics and delivers natural, long-lasting results.
Ectropion
Ectropion treatment at SEON Vision addresses the sagging of the lower eyelid, which can cause watering, irritation and redness. Our experienced oculoplastic surgeons utilise advanced techniques to restore the eyelid’s position and eliminate discomfort. With over 1,000 successful procedures, we deliver exceptional outcomes for our patients.
Entropion
At SEON Vision, we provide expert treatment for entropion, a condition where the lower eyelid turns inward, causing discomfort and potential eye infections. Our skilled surgeons perform a precise eyelid tightening procedure, restoring the eyelid’s proper position.
Ptosis
Ptosis surgery at SEON Vision not only addresses functional concerns like difficulty keeping the eyes open but also enhances the overall appearance. By carefully lifting the eyelid, our surgeons can improve both symmetry and the natural contour of the eye to restore a youthful, refreshed look without visible scarring.
Direct brow lift
A direct brow lift restores the natural position of the eyebrows to alleviate heaviness and hooded eyelids. By lifting the brows through a discreet incision, this procedure not only enhances your appearance but also improves your visual field and light intake.
Eyelid reconstruction
At SEON Vision, our expert team specialises in reconstructive eyelid surgery to address trauma, tumours or congenital defects. Using advanced techniques, we restore both the function and aesthetic appearance of the eyelids, ensuring optimal results that enhance both form and function for a natural, functional outcome.
Botox and fillers
Botox and dermal fillers are a non-surgical solution to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. These minimally-invasive treatments smooth crow’s feet, forehead lines and frown lines around the eyes with minimal downtime for a quick and effective rejuvenation.

Oculoplastic and Aesthetic Surgery Frequently Asked Questions
What conditions does oculoplastic surgery treat?
Oculoplastic surgery covers a broad range of conditions affecting the eyelids, tear ducts, and surrounding structures of the eye. At our Kingston upon Thames clinic, we treat drooping eyelids (ptosis), eyelid malposition (entropion and ectropion), eyelid skin lesions and tumours, blocked tear ducts (requiring DCR surgery), orbital conditions, and thyroid eye disease. We also perform blepharoplasty for both functional and cosmetic purposes, and offer non-surgical aesthetic treatments including Botox and dermal fillers.
What is the difference between oculoplastic surgery and regular plastic surgery?
Oculoplastic surgeons are fully qualified ophthalmologists who have undergone additional specialist training in the surgical and aesthetic management of the eyelids, orbit, and lacrimal (tear) system. Because they are also eye doctors, they understand how any procedure affects the health, function, and safety of the eye itself — a crucial distinction for surgery in this area. Our Kingston consultants Miss Michelle Ting and Mr Rehan Rajput are both fellowship-trained, world recognised oculoplastic surgeons.
Can oculoplastic surgery be done for medical rather than cosmetic reasons?
Yes, many oculoplastic procedures are performed primarily for medical functional reasons. Drooping eyelids (ptosis) that obstruct vision, eyelids that turn inward and scratch the cornea (entropion), blocked tear ducts causing chronic watering, and eyelid tumours are all conditions requiring surgical treatment for health and functional reasons rather than aesthetics. In such cases, the cost may be covered by health insurance.
Is Botox or filler treatment available at SEON Vision in Kingston?
Yes. In addition to surgical procedures, SEON Vision offers advanced non-surgical facial aesthetic treatments including Botox injections and dermal fillers, administered by our oculoplastic surgeons. As ophthalmologists with specialist knowledge of the periorbital anatomy, our surgeons are uniquely qualified to provide aesthetic treatments in the delicate area around the eyes with the highest level of safety.
How long do the results of oculoplastic surgery last?
Surgical procedures such as ptosis repair, ectropion correction, or tear duct surgery produce long-lasting or permanent results in most cases. Blepharoplasty results are also long-lasting, though the face continues to age naturally. Non-surgical treatments such as Botox typically last three to four months, while dermal fillers may last six to eighteen months depending on the product used and the area treated.
Do I need a referral for oculoplastic surgery at SEON Vision?
No GP referral is needed to book a consultation with our oculoplastic surgeons in Kingston. You can contact us directly. If you have existing letters from your GP, optician, or hospital eye department, please bring these to your appointment as they will be useful context for your surgeon.
